Meet Allie!
She was recently rescued from a puppy mill breeder, she was being aucitoned off to other puppy mill breeders. We decided to purchase her, and five others, with the intention of removing them from that type of environment, and finding them pet homes. We ourselves are breeders, and support ethical breeding practices- but this group of Samoyeds were living in a mass production kennel, no health testing, breeding too early/too many litters, no proper grooming, etc. As a breeder of Samoyeds, we believe in protecting and preserving this breed. We were happy to have the means to help these dogs, and find them a better life.
Allie is incredibly sweet and deserving- but unfortunately, she struggles with a lot of the things puppy mill dogs do. I want to first talk about her cons, as these will be the things that determine if she is a good fit for most families or not. Allie's cons: Allie lived in a chaotic, loud environment with no love of socialization, for what we assume was since the early days of her life. This has made her very fearful of new situations, and shy. She is by no means aggressive, just scared at first. She needs someone who can be patient and understanding with her, as she learns to trust people. Once she trusts you, she will cling to your side and be your best friend. But any new situations will make her freeze up and hunker down. Petting her head tends to calm her down, she loves head scratches. Loud noises scare her. If she gets very scared, she will urinate, or sometimes even defecate herself. She has never lived in a house before, so she is learning what potty training is, but is making progress every day. She sleeps in a crate at night, and tends to view her crate as a safe space to relax. She does not pull on the leash, but isn't exactly leash trained, and she frequently freezes up and lays down if she's scared.
Now the good things about Allie: Nomatter how terrified, she has never once bit or been the least bit aggressive towards anyone. She is not a "fear aggressive" dog. She wants so badly to trust people, and is so sweet. She is gentle, thoughtful, quiet, and polite. She is amazing with other dogs both big and small. She is submissive with other dogs, and doesn't react to any dominant dog's bossiness- she works very hard to get along with everyone. She's gentle, and will take treats so softly out of your hands. She's not extremely vocal like some Samoyeds can be. She aims to please, and is working so hard on her potty training and learning to get used to the pet life.
She was just spayed on 1/12/26, and will be ready to go to her new home in 10-14 days, after she recovers. I also had her updated on her vaccines, microchipped, and started on flea/tick/deworming prevention. She tested negative for heartworms. She weighs 40 lbs.
Please call or text 580-380-5754 if you are interested in giving her a good home. She is available to anywhere in the US- we have transport options available. Thank you!
