Meet puppy Apollo!! Apollo is a very sweet puppy. He just loves to play and have fun. Happy and go lucky he is exactly the temperament we were hoping to get from this parring. And in case you did not know, Apollo is a BLUE German Shepherd. Yes! A BLUE German Shepherd. Pure bred, AKC registered, the same German Shepherd temperament we all know and love. Blue is a natural color within the German Shepherd breed. But it is very rare. It happens when a male and a female both have the D diluted gene. If a puppy inherits both genes 🧬 (DD), the puppy will be born BLUE and his eyes will be blue for a few months before turning a stunning yellow. It’s just a color variation. Von Stephanitz the founder of the breed said the right color for a German Shepherd was any color. Here we breed for temperament and health first and foremost. And with that said, we absolutely adore every color in the genetics of the German Shepherd breed. And this blue is absolutely beautiful. We really achieved what we were looking for.
