The sire, Ranger, is out of the excellent bloodline of Rawhide Clown, who is well known for his hunting ability. That line of dogs has won field trials across the country, and is a very desired line for their performance and trainability. The dam, Micki, is a large-framed female, with an exceptional demeanor and outstanding mothering ability. She is long legged, and covers the country very easily.
