Slick is a sweet Husky/Border Collie mix! He loves to play, but doesn’t have the extremely high energy like his parent breeds. He absolutely loves other dogs - he gets along better with neutered males and then females of all sizes (though he takes a sec to warm up to dogs). In general, he warms up faster to dogs that are smaller than him, but his two BFFs are dogs that are close to his size. He loves to play chase with them. He likes to play in the pool, loves treats (very treat motivated), loves bones and toys, and run around exploring our land. He knows sit, no, lay down, shake, and roll over (most of the time). He loves all people, but sometimes will bark when meeting new men (not all men though and he’s NEVER aggressive) - which we aren’t sure why as we had him around tons of people and other dogs since he was little. He’s UTD on shots and neutered. Would do better in a home without cats because he is very fixated on them. We do have two cats though and he’s never hurt them. I’d love to see him go to a home where he gets to go with his humans to places like the lake, hiking, etc. We do want him to have another dog to play with as he’s grown up with several other dogs ranging from 20-50lbs. I’ll be extremely picky about where he goes as this has been a very tough decision! I have no doubt he’d love a playmate as two of his BFFs are Dalmatians (he likes bigger dogs just takes time). Slick is used to being around other dogs and does not need kenneled when we leave. He has actually never been kenneled and has slept with us since he was little. He also likes to sleep in bed - mostly he’ll sleep at the foot of the bed then come snuggle in the morning. He also chooses to sleep in the dog bed in our room sometimes. Price is negotiable to the right home as I just want what’s best for him. He’s about 55lbs! He will bark if someone comes but he’s not a protection dog by any means - so if that’s what you’re wanting then he’s not the right fit.
