As a cross between a Lhasa Apso and a Poodle, the Lhasapoo is an adorable pup that loves people. Their personalities and coats are wild cards since they're a mixed breed, but you can count on these smart pups to be easygoing companions day in and day out. Full-grown, they typically weigh 10-20 pounds and stand 9-13 inches tall.

Lhasapoos are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. Lhasapoos can co-exist with children, but they prefer older kids who know how to handle them. These pups also can get along with other dogs and cats, although they may be a bit yappy. They're fairly vocal dogs that bark regularly.

Lhasapoos are low-maintenance dogs that don’t need much exercise. They enjoy a nice walk or playing in the yard, but they’re equally happy to relax with you on the couch. In fact, these pups adapt to their owner’s lifestyle, so they’ll be content with just about anything. Overall, their exercise needs are moderate.

The Lhasapoo’s coat ranges from soft and curly to loose and straight. They come in a variety of colors and look best with professional grooming. Even without a groomer, these dogs need to be brushed every few days to keep their coats tangle-free. Grooming-wise, this breed is moderate.

Lhasapoos are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. At 10-20 pounds, Lhasapoos are the perfect size for apartment living. Whether they live in a small space or large home with a yard, they should be kept as indoor dogs so they can be around people and satisfy their need for companionship. They are moderately trainable with consistent effort.

The little Yorkshire Terrier thinks they're Great Danes, and like most terriers, are bold, brave, and independent. They are very intelligent and  develop deep bonds with their owners. Full-grown, they typically weigh 4-7 pounds and stand 8-9 inches tall.

Yorkshire Terriers are generally excellent with children of all ages. Because of their diminutive stature, Yorkies are well-suited to apartment life, but households with young children are not recommended unless carefully supervised. They're fairly vocal dogs that bark regularly.

The Yorkshire Terrier can have most of their exercise needs met through indoor play, but they prefer a daily walk or romp in a fenced-in yard. They don't need much exercise, so don't wear your Yorkie out too much, but they will need to play with their families throughout the day. Overall, their exercise needs are high.

Yorkies' coats can be a bit high maintenance, especially for those with the long, silky coat. Long coats require professional maintenance, including adding oil and wrapping the coats in rice or tissue paper, along with weekly washings. The Yorkshire Terrier has no undercoat, and they do shed a small amount. Grooming-wise, this breed is high-maintenance. Yorkshire Terriers are considered hypoallergenic, which can be a plus for allergy sufferers.
