More about us~
My fiance Aaron and I started The Whole Kit & Ca-Poodle.
I personally have over 20 years over rescue and rehabilitation including with wolves, wolfdogs, cat hybrids, etc. I also used to transport exotic animals around the continental U.S. primarily venomous snakes.
We are passionate about helping animals and we work well together, each bringing unique strengths to our team.
We're excited to keep expanding our efforts to help more animals in need and truly make a positive difference in as many lives as possible.
Were not just about rescue and rehabilitation through our nonprofitwe also offer a bunch of other services like training, dog boarding, and pet sitting. You might even catch us vending at an animal show.
We have started to *ethically* produce puppies of our own as well.
We breed for *quality* not color.
I come from a show dog household (My mother had some of the top show and even obedience dogs in the country) There is a severe quality problem with the designer colors.
Which is why our dogs are to standard.
The sire and dam of all our puppies will be the same, as they are our beloved pets. Due to their special status, their litters are limited.
Their unique qualities motivate us to produce these puppies. Throughout my extensive experience rescuing and encountering many dogs, I have never encountered individuals quite like these two. They are truly exceptional, and I believe their puppies will be equally so.
The dam, Suki, is an AKC Cafe Au Lait; Standard Poodle. She is show-quality, excels in obedience, and serves as my personal trained service dog.
The sire, Bandit, is a Blue Speckled; Australian Cattledog from AKC working lines. His parents work on a large dairy farm.
Both of our dogs are AKC show-quality and CKC registered, and are OFA tested. The puppies can be registered with CKC under non-purebred status, which is currently the only recognized designer registration.
Our dogs are fed a nutritional dry dog food, along with a homemade mixture of various high quality meats, superfoods, and vitamins.
The Poodle and Cattledog are two of the most intelligent breeds out of nearly 400 known breeds. They are so for a reason they are both akin to a child and both of our dogs are of standard through and through.
Both of our dogs are well-socialized and demonstrate protective instincts towards their family and livestock when necessary. They are excellent watchdogs, capable of discerning between individuals who pose a threat and those who do not.
They serve as wonderful nanny dogs, consistently protecting and staying close to our toddler whenever we are outside together.
Bandit is exceptionally intelligent, capable of opening various doors and understanding different forms of human communication. His perceptiveness is quite remarkable.
They both are also amazing role models/influences for rescues and have helped the rehabilitation of multiple dogs that were shut down and on death row.
There is no doubt in my mind that their puppies will be able to do an equal amount of positivity in the world.
Each of them offers an immense amount of potential, whether you are interested in pursuing activities such as search and rescue, therapy work, service work, agility, obedience, hunting, or simply seeking a loyal and cherished companion.

Frequently Asked Questions
About
Australian Cattle Dog
Puppies
What makes Australian Cattle Dogs special?
With a long lineage of cattle herding ancestors, the Australian Cattle Dog, also called Blue or Red Heeler or Queensland Heeler, is known as a tireless, loyal breed that loves having something to do. They need mental and physical stimulation to stay out of trouble, but if you can keep them entertained, they’ll be wonderful companions. Full-grown, they typically weigh 35-50 pounds and stand 17-20 inches tall.
How do Australian Cattle Dogs behave around young children?
Australian Cattle Dogs are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. Australian Cattle Dogs make ideal companions for children and other dogs if they’re socialized at a young age and treated with respect. Their herding instinct may cause them to nip at running kids, so training is important to teach them good behavior. They're relatively quiet and don't bark much.
How do I keep a Australian Cattle Dog physically active?
Australian Cattle Dogs have loads of energy and need lots of mental and physical stimulation. Otherwise, they're likely to get into trouble. Their herding roots make them great companions for running, biking, and other outdoor activities. Overall, their exercise needs are very high.
How much brushing and bathing does a Australian Cattle Dog need?
The Australian Cattle Dog’s outer coat is weather resistant, short, and a bit rough. The inner layer is short and thick. They are born with a white coat, but it darkens over time to become red-speckled or blue/blue mottled, and they often have markings as well. Grooming-wise, this breed is low-maintenance.
Can a Australian Cattle Dog live in an apartment?
Australian Cattle Dogs are best suited for a rural property or home with a large yard. Australian Cattle Dogs are wary of strangers, so they may not be the best fit for homes with constant visitors. They’re an indoor/outdoor breed that needs the space of a home rather than the tight confinement of apartment. They are fairly easy to train.
Frequently Asked Questions
About
Poodle - Standard
Puppies
Are Standard Poodles a good breed to own?
France has been officially recognized as the Poodle’s country of origin, but the Poodle’s earlier ancestors came from central Asia. The German variety has probably influenced the modern breed most (‘Poodle’ is German for ‘splash’ or ‘puddle’). In 18th and 19th century Europe, the Poodle served a wide variety of purposes, including duck hunting, guiding, and later circus performing, from whence the modern grooming style likely arose. The Poodle became a popular pet for the French aristocracy, and in time was officially adopted as the national dog. Poodles were imported to America in the 20th century. They slowly rose in popularity and eventually became the country’s most popular dog. Famous Poodles include author John Steinbeck’s dog Charley, subject of the book ‘Travels with Charley: In Search of America’, and Weird Al’s Poodle Bela, who…uhm… sat on his head for the album cover of ‘Poodle Hat.’ Full-grown, they typically weigh 12-55 pounds and stand 10-15 inches tall.
Are Standard Poodles a good choice for families with kids?
Standard Poodles are generally excellent with children of all ages. The Standard Poodle gets along well with other animals, other dogs, and children. Standard Poodles are highly adaptable and make good watchdogs. They're moderate barkers — they'll alert you when something's up but aren't excessive.
What kind of exercise do Standard Poodles need?
The Standard Poodle requires substantial amounts of exercise. Standard Poodles require long walks and outdoor activities such as swimming or playing catch. The Standard Poodle is fond of retrieving, as it has origins as a hunting dog. Overall, their exercise needs are high.
Are Standard Poodles high-maintenance when it comes to grooming?
The Standard Poodle has a distinctive fine, frizzy, wooly coat similar in texture to sheep’s wool. Solid white is most common, but the coat may also be solid grey, brown, apricot, or black. There are three distinct grooming styles for show Poodles: puppy clip, continental clip, and English saddle clip. Grooming-wise, this breed is high-maintenance. Standard Poodles are considered hypoallergenic, which can be a plus for allergy sufferers.
Are Standard Poodles easy to train?
Standard Poodles are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. They are highly trainable and eager to learn.
