The Cane Corso, also known as the Italian Mastiff, is a large, muscular, and loyal working dog breed. Their name translates to "bodyguard dog" and they are known for their protective nature. Originating in ancient Greece and Rome, they were historically used as farmhands, watchdogs, and even soldiers. Today, they are often kept as guard dogs or companions. Cane Corsos can weigh over 100-200lbs and can stand 28 inches tall at the shoulder.
