Daisy is such a sweet, loving dog. We adopted her from Little Traverse Bay Humane Society in Petoskey about one month ago. She was so scared in the shelter, so we really wanted to give her a nice, loving home. She does AMAZING with other dogs, and our other fur babies really helped her get out of her shell. She loves to play, chew on toys, go for walks, but is also such a little snuggle bug and equally loves just laying on the couch with her people. She does well in a kennel, and is, for the most part, potty trained. She does still have a few accidents here and there, but they are becoming more and more scarce. She was a stray down in the Detroit area before coming to the shelter, so she has never really been in a home until recently. That being said, we are so impressed with how well she has adapted. Daisy is a tiny little girl with such a big heart. She is only about 2 feet tall and weighs about 35 pounds. (Her pictures really do not do justice to how small she truly is.) Her only downfall is that she is really scared of children, which is the reason we are looking to find her a better fit. We have a 12 year old son who loves Daisy so much, but she is still just so timid and scared of him. She often barks and growls when he comes in to the room. Therefore we are hoping to find a home for her, without any young children. An older teenager would be fine though. Like I said, Daisy is such a sweet girl who deserves the very best life. We just feel so bad that she is not living her life to the fullest since she is so terrified whenever our son is home. Feel free to email [email protected] with any questions or text 231-350-2133. Thank you and we cannot wait to get Daisy into her forever home!

About American Pit Bull Terrier Puppies
How would you describe a American Pit Bull Terrier?
Despite their reputations, the American Pit Bull Terrier is typically an affectionate and loving breed. They are not as fond of dogs and other furry creatures, but with the right training and socialization, these pups can make excellent family companions and watchdogs. Full-grown, they typically weigh 22-78 pounds and stand 14-24 inches tall.
How are American Pit Bull Terriers with other pets?
American Pit Bull Terriers are generally good with kids, especially when raised together. The American Pit Bull Terrier can get along well with children and other pets if they’re trained and socialized from an early age, but without this vital training and exposure, they may be aggressive toward other dogs - especially when challenged. These dogs can live in apartments, but they need plenty of attention and exercise to stay happy and healthy. They're moderate barkers — they'll alert you when something's up but aren't excessive.
Are American Pit Bull Terriers high-energy dogs?
This breed needs a lot of exercise to keep their minds and bodies busy. Whether it’s taking long walks, running alongside a bike, or chasing after a ball or Frisbee, the APBT can't get enough! They really love playing fetch, so keep a ball handy as their toy of choice. Overall, their exercise needs are moderate.
How often should I brush a American Pit Bull Terrier?

They come in a variety of colors, including black, brown, red, and multi-colored, and they often have white fur on their chest, neck, legs, or feet.
