About Darla

Darla is a 2½-year-old Miniature Bernedoodle, weighing about 15 lbs, with a gentle and sensitive nature. She’s a more reserved girl, especially when meeting new people, and will need a patient, experienced dog owner who can give her the time and space she needs to feel safe and build trust. Once Darla becomes comfortable, her affectionate side truly shines. She forms strong bonds with her people and loves quiet companionship and gentle attention from those she knows. Darla came to us from another program that was no longer able to care for her, and while she’s a sweet girl, she isn’t the right fit for our program — which is why we’re focused on finding her the perfect home where she can truly thrive. She is: • Leash trained • Social and comfortable with other dogs • Knows the command “sit” Darla would do best in a calm, patient home — ideally with someone experienced who understands that some dogs just need a little extra time and reassurance. With consistency, kindness, and the right environment, she has so much love to give. If you’re someone who finds joy in helping a dog build confidence and watching them blossom, Darla could be a truly special companion 🤍
