Welcome to Working Line Canine! Meet puppy Diesel! (Green collar) Diesel is just great. In short that about sums it up for this dog. Just recently we started his official training and public behavior training, and he is just blowing it out of the water. Imminently great in the car, quickly adapted to everything, mastered the loose lead heal, and learned the concept of being neutral to the environment in public and learned leash communication right off the bat. He is the equivalent of tossing someone who has never swam into the deep end of the pool, and having them back stroke laps around the pool instantly! Amazing is all I can say. He is an incredibly fast learner and is eager to please and work with the handler. He is well behaved in public and I only see him reaching in his training as far as anyone will allow him. We are looking for a home with no children ideally but a household with older teenagers would be fine as well. We would like the family to have had experience with the intruduction of adult dogs into a new household. The $400 we are asking for is a rehoming fee. Diesel was sent back from a potential home a few months ago as the family did not have enough experience with German Shepherds. Diesel is a very nice dog who traveled by road for the first time from TX to NY to be with his new family wile handled by multiple strangers along the way. He is a very good boy. He understandably was under very high stress and timid when he arrived. The family did not know how to ease in a new adult dog into a household after 4 days of stressful travel. They decided a puppy would be a better fit for them. We helped them with their request and we had a transporter drive Diesel from NY back home to us here in TX. He was nice the whole way back and stayed a few days at our sister kennels location before I was able to pick him up. Diesel was nice with every other person during this high stress travel trip. The family’s limited experience with German Shepherds was the reason it did not work out. For this reason we will only rehome Diesel to someone in TX who has experience patience and understanding with integrating an adult dog into a new home.
