Dijon

Dijon is a wonderful and beautiful adult female standard poodle. She was from a litter we raised and came back to us when her first had a life transition where they couldn't prioritize her needs. She has been with us for a little over a year and it is time for her to find her new forever home. Dijon is intelligent, loyal, and protective. She loves her walks, running through fields, cuddling on the couch, and treats. We have 4 kids, aged 5 months to 7 years old that she does very well with. We have 2 other standard poodles and a cat. Dijon gets along well with all the family. She is incredible loyal, which leads her to be stand-offish with new people. On walks with my wife she does not let strangers come near and gets defensive. She does bark when people walk by and when they enter the home. After greeting and getting plenty of sniffs, she will resume her normal activity of lounging. When she first came back to us last year, there was an adjustment period. But she quickly built a strong bond with the family and she will do the same with her forever family. She is a special dog and deserves all the love and care she can get, so our vetting process for her potential forever home will be thorough.
