What is the difference between a QUALITY OES and a poor quality one? AKC says they should be watchful, courageous, kind, intelligent, & great with children. The Old English Sheepdog Club of America (OESCA) says they should be an "adaptable, intelligent dog of even disposition, with no sign of aggression, shyness or nervousness." Just because you buy a "registered puppy," does not mean the breeder is reputable and breeding the breed standard in temperament, conformation, and coat. I can assure you both parents to these pups are very docile, very calm/low energy, adaptable, have an even disposition with absolutely no sign of human or dog aggression, and are very sweet. I can also assure you that both parents have beautiful coats, blocky heads, wide frames, and square balanced bodies, and are not long legged. What will you get from a reputable, caring breeder? These puppies get their nails trimmed every few days. They get baths and blown dried at least weekly. They come to you having already had their feet shaved with the clippers and been introduced to brushing. They will come to you use to house activity and sounds, ready to be your best friend. They also have an extensive champion pedigree, come from health tested parents, sell with a contract, and sell on a hip & eye health guarantee. What is this puppy like? YELLOW COLLAR MALE has unique coloring and brown eyes. He is the 2nd biggest pup and was the first to do everything (first to open eyes, first to walk, first to run, first to eat his puppy mash). He is probably the alpha of the bunch due to size, confidence, and strength. Will probably be a little more independent, but still obedient. He is quiet like black and doesn’t talk much. Yellow is a good cuddle buddy on the couch and you can hold him in the nook of your arm like a baby. He is probably more low energy than green, black, or blue. He does like his food and is very food driven (great for training!) He is very smart because one day when he saw his mom use the dog door, he followed her right out and proceeded to go inside and outside 4 times on his own before we put him up. He comes to you as a PRO dog door trained pup! All puppies will be sold on limited registration (pet homes) unless being shown & co-owned --no exceptions. If you have never shown before, know that if you can groom your full-coated dog, that is the hardest part.
