ON HOLD! Please visit our instagram! Instagram.com/fujiandrainier_akitainu This is Elektra, a wild looking girl! She was the smallest out of the litter but she has grown so much! She’s full of energy, silliness, curiosity and courage. She’d be the first one to lead the pack on an adventure if they were all out playing. She’s super sweet and very loving. She’s very gentle and shows no signs of resource guarding or food aggression. She will make a wonderful companion as she loves praise, is very patient with others, understands social and behavioural queues very well and loves nothing more than cuddles, kisses and playing with toys. She is our last baby from the litter and from Rainier and Fuji. We only allow two breeding seasons to be done before retirement. It’s bittersweet because Fuji and Rainier are really the best of the breed when it comes to temperament and deposition. It’s been such a delight to see their puppies display the same wonderful characteristics. Please come get this angel, she is so very very special! The price for her is 1300. She will come with shots, health certificate, a kennel and a puppy care package. There is a $500 non-refundable deposit to hold the puppy. Serious inquiries only! Please do your research on this breed if you are a first time owner. They are not beginner friendly and require a lot of work!! I will be conducting a very thorough interview and be extremely picky about home placement. These dogs require a lot of early socialisation and a life long commitment. Thank you! Text or dm 206.476.6261 ——————————————————————— We are a small family kennel that has been raising purebred Akita Inu (Japanese Akita) for the last 20 plus years. We only have one breeding pair because we are very selective of the type of Akita Inu that goes into our breeding program. We make sure our breeding pair have a bond, the best genetics, temperament, coat, personality, health and deposition before we breed them. We live on 300 acres and all the dogs live with us indoors. They are apart of our family first and foremost. Rainier, is our red male who is 6. He comes from JKC champion bloodlines. His parents are imports from Japan. He’s a very intelligent, protective, smart but independent boy. He’s a great guard dog and protector. Fuji is our silver/red brindle female who is almost 3. She comes from champion bloodlines as well. Her parents are imports from Poland. She’s the sweetest thing!! Highly intelligent, extremely beautiful features and markings. She listens extremely well (If you know Akita Inu’s personalities, this is very rare 😆) and has excellent recall. Both are silly, stubborn, loyal and smart as a whip. They both have a hyper prey drive however (which is common to this hunting breed), so early socialization with all other animals is REQUIRED. Early socialization to all environments and people will produce the best well rounded adult Akita. This litter is fantastic! Very unique looking pups. They’re super chubby, growing fast and already full of personality!! They have great coat patterns and markings. Rainier and Fuji both have excellent disposition, temperament and coat patterns, so I know the puppies will carry those great genetics.

Frequently Asked Questions
About Japanese Akita Puppies
What's it like owning a Japanese Akita?
Although smaller in size and possessing less variation in color, Japanese Akitas are smart, strong, and protective like their so-called “American” relatives. These noble dogs play an important role as police partners, guard dogs, and bear hunters in their native Japan. Japanese Akitas love their family deeply but can show aggression toward those they don’t know. You will always know how they’re feeling, though, by their goofy grumbles! Full-grown, they typically weigh 55-75 pounds and stand 22-28 inches tall.
Will a Japanese Akita get along with my other pets?
Japanese Akitas are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. Like most dogs, the more exercise they get, the more well-behaved they become. These dogs can adapt to a smaller indoor setting, but they appreciate space to play. They're moderate barkers — they'll alert you when something's up but aren't excessive.
Are Japanese Akitas couch potatoes or do they need a lot of exercise?
Japanese Akitas were working dogs for hundreds of years. So, these smart dogs like to be kept mentally and physically fit. They also love being with their families, so activities you can do together will make them happy. Overall, their exercise needs are high.
How much brushing and bathing does a Japanese Akita need?
Japanese Akitas are smaller in size than their “American” cousins and lack the black face mask, but their coat type and care needs are similar to their relatives. The thickness of their coat changes seasonally, and that fur has to go somewhere. Regular brushing of their coarse, dense coat will help reduce excessive shedding. Grooming-wise, this breed is moderate.
Are Japanese Akitas a good fit for apartment living?
Japanese Akitas are best suited for a home with a yard, though they can adapt to apartment life with enough exercise. The happiest Japanese Akitas have a fenced-in yard to run around in. These dogs can adapt to a smaller indoor setting, but they appreciate space to play. They are can be stubborn and challenging to train.

Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.
Get a Vet Exam Immediately
Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records
Ask for vaccination records, deworming history, and vet exam results. For purebreds, ask for parent health clearances.

Written contract with health guarantees, return/refund policy, and spay/neuter terms. Verbal promises are unenforceable.
