UPDATE 3/9/23: Femi received her 2nd updated health certificate. Health Certificate noted a reducible umbilical hernia. No other issues noted. She weighed 4.7 pounds as of 3/9/23.
UPDATE 2/24/23:Femi received her 2nd vaccination and weighs 3.3 pounds. Profile picture is current as of 2/24/23. Femi is a purebred cavalier king charles spaniel out of a ruby mom and a ruby dad. Femi has been well socialized with kids and other dogs. She will also do well with cats, although she has not been around any yet. She has been raised inside and is not kenneled. She is a loving, playful baby who will make a wonderful addition to any family and home environment. We raise our pups to be family members and companions only, as their parents are to us. We just want our pups to find good homes and their adopters to be able to add a loving pup. Femi has received her current health cert as of 2/3/23. Femi was found to have a reducible umbilical hernia and no other issues at her exam. An umbilical hernia occurs at birth when the mom is cleaning the puppy up and pulls too hard on the cord. Umbilical hernias are very common on puppies. Some will be outgrown however, if it is not outgrown, a vet can repair for (usually) a minimal additional fee at the time of spay. This is the best time to have the umbilical hernia repaired as the pup will already be under anesthesia for the spay procedure and there is no need for an additional operation or incision at that time. Umbilical hernias are not considered a serious issue although we do recommend having them repaired to prevent any problems later in life (although even then, issues or complications related to an umbilical hernia are very rare).
She weighed 2.5 pounds as of 2/3/23. She is ready to join her new family and start her journey to her forever home. We may be able to deliver or meet people partway, depending on the distance. In some cases,we may charge a delivery fee (depending on distance and travel time). Please ask if you need help getting your new baby home. We can also meet people at the airport if they want to fly in and take their new baby back as carry on with them.
