UPDATE: 11/20/23 We went to a UKC show this weekend and this little boy ROCKED IT! 2 Best of Breed Puppy wins! He is great on a leash, and did really well with the craziness of the show. Tons of new people, dogs, smells and even stood on the grooming table like a big boy while we blew him dry, trimmed his toes, and trimmed his hair! He is maturing AMAZINGLY and I cant wait to watch him grow as he gets older. AKC papers in hand for breeding rights, or may consider a local co-own so I can keep showing him. This boy is soooo sweet. I cant believe he is still here! Sired by an UKC Champion. Dam has points, but not finished. He would do well in a pet performance or a family home! Here at On The Ball Aussies, we pride ourselves on breeding quality puppies. All of our adults have been genetically tested. Puppies have a 2 year health guarantee. Puppies visit the vet for their 1st set of vaccines. Pups are dewormed multiple time s before leaving. We also microchip every puppy and pay all the annual and set up fees. We have also prepaid 30 days of insurance for your new puppy when you take them home. Puppies are raised indoor and outdoors. Puppies get to run around the farm several times and experience so many sounds, footings and talk about the smells! Starting around 6 week we start separating mommas for a few hours each day. Moms love running the farm and puppies get their first taste at not being with mommas 24/7. After a few hours pups are let out to be with mommas. After we are done milking cows, feeding animals and other chores, puppies get a few hours of kennel time each day while we clean. This helps puppies start to feel comfortable away from siblings and mom. We hope this helps when they transition to your house. At 7 weeks moms are 100% separated from puppies (ok, they may get to hang out a few times), but we like making sure your puppies are set up for their new home. Don't worry, your puppy isn't alone. We give puppies a 'grandma'. Grandma's are dry (no milk) mommas who love puppies. These older gals will still snuggle, and teach manors to your puppy, but wont let them nurse. During this week, we make sure your puppy is eating kibble, gaining weight and thriving without the milk from mom. We do genetically test our parents. Most our parents are also shown and championed or are working on becoming Champions. Not interested in showing, no worries! We strive to produce a quality puppy that you can love for years and years. If this isn't your perfect puppy, check out our website, Facebook page, or shoot us an email or message to see if we have your perfect puppy.

Frequently Asked Questions
About Australian Shepherd Puppies
What are Australian Shepherds known for?
Australian Shepherds are a beautiful breed with merle coats, high energy, and and an obsession with being close to their families. These dogs are wonderful family companions, but be prepared to keep them active and occupied to avoid having a sad, destructive Aussie. Full-grown, they typically weigh 40-65 pounds and stand 18-23 inches tall.
Do Australian Shepherds do well in a busy household?
Australian Shepherds are generally excellent with children of all ages. Australian Shepherds are great companion for kids and other pets, especially if they’re socialized as puppies. These dogs can be happy in warm or cool climates, but they need plenty of space to run and play and should have their primary living space indoors. They're moderate barkers — they'll alert you when something's up but aren't excessive.
Do Australian Shepherds need a lot of physical activity?
Aussies need a lot of high-energy activities and mental stimulation to keep them happy. They’re the perfect exercise buddies, especially for families that like being outdoors. Take your Australian Shepherd for a run, hike, or a long play session in a big backyard to keep their hearts soaring and their minds sharp. Overall, their exercise needs are very high.
Are Australian Shepherds high-maintenance when it comes to grooming?
The Australian Shepherd has a dense undercoat and outer coat with medium to long hair that’s straight or slightly wavy. Aussies’ fur is short and soft on their head and legs, with a thick mane around the neck. These dogs can be black, red, red merle (dark patches on a light background), or blue merle, and some may have white markings or tan points too. Grooming-wise, this breed is low-maintenance.
Do Australian Shepherds need a big yard?
Australian Shepherds are best suited for a home with a yard, though they can adapt to apartment life with enough exercise. These dogs can be happy in warm or cool climates, but they need plenty of space to run and play and should have their primary living space indoors. They are highly trainable and eager to learn.
