Not because they aren’t extraordinary. Not because we’ve lost our love for them. But because we’ve reached a point where the emotional, financial, and spiritual cost of doing this right is being met with indifference. We’ve raised genetically clean, solid white Standard Poodles—no merle, no parti, no gimmicks. Every puppy is health tested, guaranteed, and raised indoors with structure, sanitation, and love. We don’t let them drink from puddles. We don’t let them eat livestock waste. We don’t let them roam unsupervised. We raise them like family—because they are. And let’s be clear: farm-raised doesn’t mean well-raised. Big land and pretty barns don’t guarantee clean water, parasite control, or proper nutrition. Puppies drinking from puddles, eating manure, and living exposed to fleas and ticks aren’t “free-range”—they’re vulnerable. A healthy dog isn’t built on acreage. It’s built on intention, structure, and care. But what we’ve seen in this market is heartbreaking. People will pay $3,000–$5,000 for a flashy merle puppy raised outdoors on a farm. They’ll spend top dollar on Goldendoodles with no health testing and no structure. But when it comes to our puppies—clean, carefully raised, ethically bred—they wait. They ghost. They play games. They hope we’ll break and slash our prices just to move them. We won’t. We’ve already sacrificed too much. We’ve poured thousands into health care, food, training, and time. We’ve stayed up through the night bottle-feeding, cleaning, comforting. We’ve done everything right—and still, we’re treated like we’re running a clearance sale. Breeding is not a charity. It’s not a hobby. It’s a business built on love, ethics, and responsibility. And in this state, that doesn’t seem to matter. So we’re done—for now. When we relocate to a place where Standard Poodles are respected—where people understand the difference between a well-bred dog and a trendy one—we’ll be back. Stronger. Smarter. Still ethical.
