Miko - Fluffy Merle

Miko is also looking for retirement! She is a fluffy merle girl that will be 5 in December. She will need a very special retirement WITHOUT any other animals! She is currently recovering from her spay surgery (done 2/19). She is currently 20 pounds but is a few pounds underweight due to having a litter recently, and her coat is pretty thin because of that right now as well. She was hurt by a stray dog when she was younger when we were walking her and it traumatized her to the point of her becoming very fearful initially, but that eventually turned into her being reactive to 90% of other animals, especially other doggos. She pretty much hates all other dogs and will go at them. She truly would thrive as a solo girlie because she works herself into such a frenzy sometimes just at the sight of other pups. She does okay with cats for the most part but sometimes gets worked up towards them if they get too much into her space or they are extremely active and then she wants to play with them and my cats really don't like that, lol. Now that all that info is out of the way, I want to really share just how MUCH she loves people. She's literally never met a stranger and loves every single person she's ever met. She is very gentle with people and extremely easy to handle for all grooming needs and snuggles. Walks okay on a leash but is used to a fenced yard. She is pretty low energy for a corgi, she will play fetch inside with us but outside she thinks we throw the toys too far away for her to bother with. She is content laying next to us on the couch or under our desks while we work. She is crate trained and house trained, as long as she is taken out at regular intervals. She doesn't really get into anything if she is left to wander in a dog friendly house (ie garbage can is locked up/no easy to access things to destroy). I do believe she would be able to be trained to sleep in bed even, but here she is too worried about all the other pups making noise to fully relax with free reign at bedtime. We have been working with her on muzzle training and she does okay with that so far as well.
