Weighing a whopping 1.35lbs at 10 weeks old. . Muffin has a beautiful silky light red coat and sweet face. She has a little white on her chest and the tips of her paws. This little baby is so tiny. She has a tiny frame with a tiny little face and Itty bitty feet, and is predicted to be around 3-5 pounds at the most. Her father is an AKC red toy poodle 4 1/2 lbs. Her mother is a F1 Maltipoo 5 1/2 lbs. Muffin is an F2 Maltipoo 75% poodle, making her more intelligent. Her parents pictures are in this post. Muffin will be sent home with CKC registration papers, puppy passport booklet from the vet, and a puppy love package, that comes with her favorite toys, bowls, grooming supplies, food,, a blanky with her mothers scent on it and more... She has already had her first 2 rounds of vaccines and fecal test result was negative for parasites (worms) . We begin potty training lessons as soon as our puppies start walking. And she is doing very well with potty pads. We dont take her outside much because of her size and because she gets cold so easily. We also use groom prepping techniques that help our puppies get accustomed to being groomed and we teach them how to associate grooming to be a loving, enjoyable, bonding experience. So she is use to being brushed and her eye area cleaned. She did very well with her bathing . We have other dogs, so she is learning socialization from them.. Muffin is a happy go lucky,, healthy, smart,, silly loving babie, that will have your family laughing and smiling for years to come. We have both parents at home. They are our beloved family members, . Being that Muffin is the last one to leave the nest , we do require the puppy drop off method, where we bring baby and mother dog to your home, so that the leaving and adjustment will be understood and easier to handle for everyone. We have experienced in the past that when someone comes to pick up there puppy, we are left with the mother frantically searching for her baby for several weeks and it's a sad sight to see. When the mother rides with us and sees the puppies set up and new family loving on her and we ride home without the baby, the mother dog understands that her baby was left with a loving family. Frequently Asked Questions
About Maltipoo Puppies
Are Maltipoos a good breed to own?
The Maltipoo is a cute cross between a Maltese and a Toy or Miniature Poodle. While mixed breeds can be a bit unpredictable, most Maltipoos are little bundles of joy with a sweet disposition and puppy playfulness that lasts a lifetime. Full-grown, they typically weigh 5-20 pounds and stand 8-14 inches tall.
Are Maltipoos good family dogs?
Maltipoos are generally good with kids, especially when raised together. They can co-exist with dogs and other pets if they’re socialized as puppies, but they’re somewhat territorial. They get along well with kids and love the companionship. They're fairly vocal dogs that bark regularly.
How much exercise does a Maltipoo need?
The Maltipoo is easygoing and do not require much exercise, so their activity needs can typically be met with just a few activities per day. Whether it’s gentle wrestling indoors, taking a walk, or playing games in the yard, Maltipoos love getting their heart rate up a bit, especially if it involves spending time with you. Overall, their exercise needs are low.
How much brushing and bathing does a Maltipoo need?
The Maltipoo’s coat can range from the silky texture of the Maltese to the distinctive frizz of the Poodle and can be many colors, including grey, black, white, and apricot. Most Maltipoos are a good match for allergy sufferers because they don’t shed much, but these pups require an owner with plenty of patience for grooming, as they need regular brushing and even professional care to keep their coats in good shape. Grooming-wise, this breed is moderate.
Can a Maltipoo live in an apartment?
Maltipoos are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. Because of their size and activity needs, Maltipoos are a great fit for families that live in apartments or smaller homes. They are fairly easy to train.
