We have been raising european dobermans for 23 years and will be having a litter in February. We only breed once a year, if that. We are anticipating black and rust pups. our breeding goals are to produce a pup that can live with the family, be highly trainable, and maintain the protective instincts of the breed. I believe a doberman should be able to determine friend from foe easily. They should not be hyperactive and be able to acclimate to a life with children and adults. You need to be willing to put time into training your doberman or they will develop bad habits. Proper socialization is also important, but not to the point they are numb to their surrounds. We do Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and also temperament testing at 6-7 weeks of age. Pups will come with a health guarantee, but I also expect my puppy families to commit to some things as well. We do have a contract and take deposits once the pups are two weeks old. Order of choosing the pups (after the temperament testing has taken place) is based on receipt of deposits. We do not accept any visitors until the pups are around 6 weeks old. This gives the dam time to detach from the pups and not be upset when people come to visit. This also gives the pups immune systems time to mature. This is also when their personalities have emerged and are not just little lumps of cuteness. They will have age appropriate vaccinations and deworming. Sire is not owned by us, but he is out of dogs that I have owned three generations of. Dam has been with us since eight weeks old. We have the.pups ears cropped at 8-9 weeks of age. Pups can go home after the stitches have been removed and they are ready for the racking process. This is usually at 10-11 weeks of age. I will NOT sell a pup without cropped ears, please do not ask. If you would like to discuss why this is, you can contact me and I can explain why. Ear cropping is done at a trusted vet we have used for several years now. We will teach the new owners how to rack the ears. Please be aware that you will need to do this process every 5-7 days (or more), for 2-3 months. Not everyone deserves a dobermans, but every doberman deserves and a dedicated and amazing owner. I have worked with many families over the years and know what dispositions work for what situation. In the past we have had pups go on to be therapy dogs, EMS dogs, seeing eye guide dogs, as well as protection sport dogs. It is my mission to work with you in finding the right pup for your situation. Not every pup will be suitable for a protection sport prospect, nor will every dog be right for a family situation. If you are wanting to work with a breeder who knows the difference and can help you make the right choice, that's me. We do ship but by ground shipping only.
