He comes with a 2 year breeder Health Guarantee against life threatening genetic illnesses, a signed Health Certificate by our vet, a detailed Embark Health report that tests for over 270 genetic health risks and pre-paid AKC pet registration. He has no heart murmur or serious health conditions. However, he is slightly imperfect and as such, is ideal for a pet home, but not suitable to be used as a breeder dog. He has a mildly prominent sternum. Neither of his parents have this trait, so we traced it back to faulty pre-natals that his mama took during the first 30 days of her pregnancy. His mama didn't want to consume the prenatal chewables that we've been giving our pregnant girls for years and we thought it was her just being picky, so we started researching another brand to switch to. During this process we read reviews posted by other breeders about the brand we were using and discovered recent reviews indicating it was causing irregularities in the pups of other breeders too. Really disheartening to find out that a product we trusted had questionable ingredients and was harming our pups in utero instead of helping them. Anyhow, his sternum issue is mild and will not affect his quality of life and over time he will grow into it. It is more cosmetic in nature and will not be as noticeable when he's older. But this boy deserves a loving family home and we have reduced his price substantially in order to compensate for this imperfection.
