About the Litter Here’s your chance to adopt a puppy raised in a loving home — not a puppy mill. Mom and Dad both live with us, so the puppies are well-socialized, confident, and accustomed to normal household sights and sounds. These pups are a Shiba Inu × Red Heeler/Akita mix, combining playful curiosity and independence with loyalty, intelligence, and working-dog drive. All three breeds are known for their devotion to their humans and strong personalities. Based on Mom and Dad, we expect them to reach approximately 25-50 pounds, with males typically larger than females. Because of their genetic diversity, mixed-breed pups tend to be healthier and stay healthier with fewer trips to the vet. Their genetic diversity reduces the risk of inherited problems typical of close inbreeding. Research shows that mixed-breeds live longer than purebreds of the same size. They're also known to be better balanced in their personalities. Mother: Shiba Inu Mom is alert, intelligent, and affectionate with her family. She has the classic Shiba confidence and independence, balanced with a playful and loyal nature. She is expressive and devoted to her people. Father: Red Heeler/Akita mix Dad is playful, loyal, and intelligent. He combines the trainability and work ethic of the Red Heeler with the confidence and devotion of the Akita. He is attentive to his family and has a strong, balanced temperament. About the Breeds Shiba Inu One of the oldest dog breeds, they were originally bred as a hunting companion. Though compact, Shibas are bold, intelligent, alert, and independent. They thrive with calm, consistent leadership and positive reinforcement. When treated with respect and patience, they form deeply loyal and unique bonds with their families. Red Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog) A highly intelligent working breed known for their loyalty, endurance, and trainability. Heelers are energetic and purpose-driven. They excel when given structure, exercise, and mental stimulation. Akita The Akita is a powerful, dignified, and deeply loyal breed originally developed in Japan for guarding and big-game hunting. Akitas are known for forming strong bonds with their families and being naturally protective. They are intelligent and confident dogs that require consistent, calm leadership and early socialization. With proper training and structure, they are devoted, steady companions. Together, these breeds create an intelligent, loyal, and striking companion with both personality and heart. These pups will do best in homes committed to providing structure, ongoing socialization, and positive-reinforcement training. About Scout Scout is the sixth born and the little explorer. She is intelligent and was the first to venture out of the den, even when she could only wiggle her way around. She loves kisses, snuggles, and especially playtime.
