Sherri is a purebred American Leopard Hound female. Sire is Black and from a show champion pedigree, starting with his sire. Dam is Black with Brindle Trim whelped by a multi-best of breed show winner. She is a Leopard Brindle. Has her first vaccination and multiple dewormings. Still needs a rabies vaccine. Comes with a written Health guarantee. She was previously placed in a home however, life changed & they couldn't keep her. She is a very energetic girl, temperament/energy level is about like a lab puppy. However she does still love her cuddle sessions. She is being offered without her UKC registration as a pet or potential hunting prospect only. She has a cherry eye (inflammation of the 3rd eyelid). This doesn't hurt her, it's not life threatening or going to limit her lifespan. It can be corrected with surgery. Due to this and wanting to ensure she gets a great home we're offering her for a reduced adoption fee. WEEKEND SPECIAL $50! A deposit is required to hold. No holds without a deposit. Parents on site. If you're not local & able to pick her up, we are willing to use a ground transport service of your choice. Any additional fees required will be additional.

Frequently Asked Questions
About American Leopard Hound Puppies
What's the personality of a American Leopard Hound?
The American Leopard Hound’s spotted coat may be the first thing you notice, but these hunting dogs don’t care about looks—they’ve got a job to do. This breed can smell prey from a mile away, and once they start nosing around, they won’t stop until they’re victorious. Full-grown, they typically weigh 35-75 pounds and stand 21-27 inches tall.
Are American Leopard Hounds safe around children?
American Leopard Hounds are generally excellent with children of all ages. American Leopard Hounds are tough dogs that can withstand the elements. Because this breed are natural hunters, they do best as the only animal in the family, but if you do have other animals, dogs of the opposite sex would be best. They're very vocal and bark quite a lot.
How do I keep a American Leopard Hound physically active?
American Leopard Hounds are known for their stamina and toughness. They’re used to being on the hunt, so they need lots of physical and mental stimulation to keep them occupied. These dogs can walk or run for hours without getting tired, and they aren’t bothered by extreme cold or heat, so they won’t let the weather stop them from being active. Overall, their exercise needs are high.
Is a American Leopard Hound a good choice for someone with allergies?
The American Leopard Hound has a double coat of rough fur on the outside and fine, wooly hair underneath. This double coat allows them to withstand the elements and work in tough terrain that most dogs wouldn’t touch. They come in a variety of colors, but the most common is a leopard or merle pattern with splashes of yellow, black, tan, grey, and brindle. Grooming-wise, this breed is low-maintenance.
Can a American Leopard Hound live in an apartment?
American Leopard Hounds are best suited for a house with a good-sized yard. Bringing them into a home with cats or small animals will inevitably lead to trouble, as they’ll probably see them as prey rather than a fellow furry friend. American Leopards need plenty of activity and space to roam, so they’re best suited for homes with large, fenced-in yards instead apartments or smaller homes in urban settings. They are moderately trainable with consistent effort.

Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.
Get a Vet Exam Immediately
Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records
Ask for vaccination records, deworming history, and vet exam results. For purebreds, ask for parent health clearances.

Written contract with health guarantees, return/refund policy, and spay/neuter terms. Verbal promises are unenforceable.
