🐾 Wire – Blue Heeler Girl Looking for Her Forever Home 🐾 This is Wire, and her story is one that’s hard to tell without breaking your heart. 💔 Wire was rescued from a truly terrible situation. She spent her life confined to a 5×5 outdoor pen, with no dog house, no shelter from the cold or heat, and often no food or water. She was nothing but skin and bones, quietly surviving conditions no dog should ever know. We tried over and over to help her. We offered multiple times to take her, get her safe, and find her the perfect home — but her owners refused, saying they had “paid too much” for her to give her away. We even reached out to animal control several times, but nothing was done. Eventually, we were told the only way to save Wire was to buy her freedom. The price was $500. We pulled together everything we could and paid it — because her life was worth more than money. Since rescuing her, Wire has completely transformed. She has been properly fed, cared for, and loved. She’s now at a healthy weight and finally learning what it means to feel safe. She is a Blue Heeler, true to the breed — smart, loyal, and deeply bonded to her people — but she also has a soft, affectionate side that just wants reassurance and companionship. Wire has received all of her booster vaccines from us, though unfortunately the records were misplaced. She is due for her rabies vaccine, which her future family will need to schedule. Despite everything she’s been through, Wire is incredibly sweet. She’s still learning that she doesn’t have to be afraid, but once she trusts you, she will give you her whole heart.
