Xadie

Xadie is a very affectionate and loyal girl who deeply loves her people and wants to be near them. She bonds closely and thrives in a calm, consistent environment. Because she struggles with high anxiety, Xadie would do best in a home where someone is home most of the time and where life is predictable and low-stress. She does well with people of all ages once she has time to adjust, but she is slow to warm up to new environments and unfamiliar people. Xadie has never shown aggression; however, when anxious she may hide, bark, or cry around people she does not know until she feels safe. I adopted Xadie in May from a breeder, and she was bred once prior to coming to me. My original intention was to include her in my breeding program, but due to her anxiety and difficulty settling around strangers, I have chosen not to breed her. It is very important to me that families are able to come into my home, meet the parents, and interact with puppies, and this is not something Xadie is comfortable with. Despite her anxiety, Xadie has many wonderful qualities. She is extremely loving, walks beautifully on leash, and is well-mannered. She knows sit, down, stay, and will patiently wait for the “okay” command before eating, high five, shake, and is house trained. She does excellent in the car and enjoys going along for rides. She will also wait calmly in the vehicle for short periods when needed, always with air conditioning. Xadie will do best with a patient, understanding family who is willing to give her time to decompress and feel secure. With the right home, she has so much love to give. Her rehoming fee is $500.
