I have a phenomenal XL American Bully. His bloodline is BGK. His name is Sumo. He currently weighs around 100-110 lbs. Sumo has a battle crop. His head is very big. He has a massive chest, muscular structure and enormous paws. He looks very intimidating. Sumo is a big teddy bear but very protective of his owners and property. He is very aware and observant of his surroundings and knows when a threat is present. Sumo is protective of his handlers and children. He will notify you of strangers by your home or property and he will also notify you when someone is at the door. Sumo is a inside dog and has never been left outside. Sumo is currently my personal registered service dog and is allowed to go into airports, restaurants, hotels, and all places regular dogs are not allowed. Sumo is perfect in public places and enjoys the interaction he receives when we are out. If you are a individual seeking a emotional support or therapy service dog I would highly recommend this type of purchase. I am seeking a active individual, couple or family home for Sumo. I will not sell him to any individual that is a breeder or looking to use Sumo for breeding. I will NOT be selling him with his registration. Pet home only. This is a fully house/public trained service dog and I want him to continue his journey and support of him being a service dog or a family/child companion. Sumo does not require any type of special care or food type. He does not have allergies or skin issues. He eats any type dry food. I also feed him raw meats, eggs, rice, vegetables. Sumo is up to date on all vaccines. The only reason I am rehoming Sumo is because I am acquiring and training a new service animal. He is ready for his new home today. I would highly recommend coming out and meeting Sumo in person. More pictures and videos available upon request. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out and ask me. Frequently Asked Questions
About American Bully Puppies
What are American Bullys known for?
American Bullies may have a rough-and-tough name, but they rarely live up to it. This loyal and brave breed loves being active and spending time with family. However, they won’t hesitate to bust out their inner bully when necessary. Full-grown, they typically weigh 40-60 pounds and stand 20-28 inches tall.
Can American Bullys live with cats and other dogs?
American Bullys are generally good with kids, especially when raised together. The American Bully makes great guard dogs, but they're also gentle family companions. These dogs are usually good with kids if they are socialized and trained at a young age. They're relatively quiet and don't bark much.
What activities do American Bullys enjoy most?
The American Bully may have been built for mass, but they're also incredibly athletic. They require exercise such as a long walk, jog, or backyard playtime on a daily basis. These dogs build up physical and mental stress if they don’t get enough exercise, so keeping them active is important to avoid having an unhappy, destructive pup. Overall, their exercise needs are high.
What should I expect with American Bully shedding?
The American Bully's coat is short, smooth, and stiff to the touch. They come in a variety of colors, such as fawn, chocolate, black, red, and brindle. Because their coats are short, American Bullies are easy to groom. Grooming-wise, this breed is low-maintenance.
What living situation works for a American Bully?
American Bullys are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. American Bullies also love being active and need plenty of space to play. They prefer warmer climates where they can soak up the sun, but if you live in a colder climate or keep your pup inside most of the day, make sure it has enough playtime and exercise to get its energy out. They are moderately trainable with consistent effort.
Puppy Buyer's FAQ
See Full Guide Here
Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.
Get a Vet Exam Immediately
Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records
Ask for vaccination records, deworming history, and vet exam results. For purebreds, ask for parent health clearances.
Get Everything in Writing
Written contract with health guarantees, return/refund policy, and spay/neuter terms. Verbal promises are unenforceable.
Use Secure Payment Methods
Pay with a credit card or another traceable method that offers buyer protection. Avoid wire transfers, crypto, or gift cards, which are difficult to recover.
Verify Breeder Credentials
Check USDA license, state breeder license, breed club memberships, and reviews. Ask for buyer references.
Know What to Look For
A trustworthy breeder welcomes visits, specializes in one or two breeds, prices fairly, and gives you time to decide without pressure.
Know Your State's Laws
Some states have lemon laws; others rely on contract law. Know your rights before you buy.
