A home setting with two breeding females who are family members. Rosie, the miniature Aussie, is shown and Lexi the miniature poodle is also shown. We have the whelping box in a quiet, calm room where babies can be raised without stress, until their eyes open and they start walking. They are then moved to the social space where they start interacting more with people and other pets. The litter is a string learning environment for early social behaviors. Babies are not placed in homes until they are 8 weeks old to maximize that early social development. Our puppies are curious, energetic and unafraid of people. They learn potty training as part of the litter, starting at about six weeks, but they are not taken outside until their 8 week shots to prevent infections.
