Pitter Patter Pastures

We have a small hobby farm in NW GA and have been breeding for over 6 years. We are proudly following the Badass Breeders' Empowering Puppies Curriculum to produce compliant puppies for home or service work. We pride ourselves on being ethical breeders- meaning, our parents are health tested and we only breed dogs that demonstrate qualities that advance the breed. Our parents have excellent temperaments and are out in the public constantly earning praise on their behaviors. We only have 1 or 2 litters of pups each year. We conduct ENS & ESI on our pups throughout the first few weeks then follow up with grooming exercises and noise desensitization. Each puppy we raise is temperament tested to help us match the proper puppy to each home. We use the litter box method to beginning potty-training, as the pups are raised in our home and not outside kennels. Many previous adopters have raved about how easy it was the transition their puppy to their home and complete potty-training quickly. We begin crate training pups at around 6 weeks old (with the help of lullaby music) and puppies go home with minimal whining in crates at bedtime. Our goal is to make the transition home as seamless as possible. Megan is a full-time chemistry teacher with a PhD and James is an PLS (Professional Land Surveyor) Building Project manager with a surveying company. We have been married for ... umm, 18 years (? seems like forever...) and have finally moved to the house of our dreams to build a fiber farm and business. (We raise Angora goats and Babydoll/Harlequin Sheep for their fiber/wool.) We welcome all potential adopters to our farm (by appointment) to meet the pups and meet us. We want to ensure our potential adopters trust us to raise their next best friend. We can also schedule virtual meetings if an adopter lives too far for a short visit.
