Our story here began long before our first litter of Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies. In fact, one of Akeley’s best-known landmarks — the legendary lumberjack, Paul Bunyan Statue — was built by our own family. Rick, along with his dad and brothers, helped construct the world’s largest Paul Bunyan right here in Akeley — a symbol of hard work, pride, craftsmanship, and deep Northwoods heritage.
