We are a family-based breeder located in Merrill, Wisconsin, with over 25 years of experience raising Golden Retrievers. Our puppies are raised in a loving home environment and are well-socialized with people, everyday household activity, and other animals.
We focus on raising healthy, well-tempered puppies that transition easily into their new homes. Our puppies receive regular care, attention, and early exposure to help them grow into confident, family-friendly companies.
We take pride in matching each puppy with the right home and are always available to answer questions before and after adoption.

About Schmidt’s Goldens
Our puppies are raised in our homes in a family environment. Newborn puppies begin their early weeks in a clean, quiet space inside our home where they receive constant attention and care.
As they grow, they are gradually introduced to more space, including supervised time in our garage and outdoor areas when weather allows. This helps them adjust to different environments, sounds, and everyday activity.
Our dogs have regular access to outdoor space for exercise and play. We focus on raising well-socialized puppies that are comfortable around people, other dogs, and typical household surroundings, helping them transition easily into their new homes.
Puppy Updates
Exciting News! Maple's English Cream Golden Retriever puppies are expected around mid-June 2026.
These puppies will be family-raised in our home and well-socialized from the start. We focus on raising healthy, well-adjusted puppies that are ready to transition smoothly into their new homes.
We are currently accepting deposits for this upcoming litter. Puppies will be ready for their forever homes around late July to early August 2026.
