Bouchard's Best Shepherds has been raising quality Olde World Long Coat German Shepherds for 30 years. 15 years ago we also started raising AKC Mini American Shepherds. Our goal with these small friendly herding dogs was to raise Mini's that are smart like GermanShepherds and fun to raise, great with kids, easy to train and loyal to their family all of that in a smaller package. Not everyone has the space for a Big German Shepherd. Our goal, was and always is always to enhance the breed. We have maintained an A+ rating with the BBB since 2008. We are originally from Ma. relocated to SC and now we have just settled in TN. 18 years in Petersham, Ma. Our clients are all over the entire country including Alaska. Some of our dogs have been on television featured on Elementary and Law and Order. Bouchard's Sargent Shultz, who we called Shulzie, is another star in his own right who is immortalized in a remake of the book Call Of The Wild. We have a signed copy by the illustrator re-imagining the pictures with drawings of our boy Shultzie. Sadly he has since passed away. I am grateful he lives on in an autographed book signed by the illustrator, thanking us and Shultzie for his patience in a photo shoot and his sitting for sketches. We specialize in raising Shepherds. We love the intelligence of the breed. Our Germans are raised with minimal angulation which is better for their hips. We love the Olde World German Shepherds and continue to raise them as we have always done. Since then we have added a new breed about 15 years ago.Once the Miniature Australian Shepherd became recognized by the AKC as AKC Mini American Shepherds. We love the intelligence of the German Shepherd but wanted something in a smaller package which led us to be one of the first breeders breeding AKC Mini American Shepherds. Our founding dogs of this breed were dual registered with AKC Stock Dog Registry and with AKC Mini American Shepherd titles. In order to get full registration once the breed was recognized three generations of health testing had to be completed. We love our big German Shepherds and our Mini American Shepherds. Sizes on our Germans varies from 75 lbs-125. Our minis also vary in size from our standard minis weighing about 20-35 pounds and, minis/toy size weighing about 10-20 pounds. Both breeds are super intelligent, wonderful with kids, and love to play and learn. The minis are a lot of fun! We have huge fenced in fields for all our dogs with shelters giving them good exercise and room to play. At night they all sleep inside in their respective crates. We make our own dog food and all our dogs get a hot breakfast daily with dry feed available to them at all times. You are welcome to come and meet our dogs and visit our and their home. We also have a Pet Nanny available to deliver your puppy within the US. April has worked for us for many years delivering and bringing joy to all our puppy owners.
