Maremmas are often compared to Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dogs, sharing the same calm temperament, gentle nature with livestock, and deep protective instincts. While the Great Pyrenees is the most recognized LGD in the U.S., many farmers and homesteaders discover the Maremma as a time-tested guardian with a slightly different working style — one valued for strong livestock bonding, steady presence, and long-term reliability. Our puppies are raised on over 100 acres of active farmland, learning real-world skills alongside chickens, cattle, barn cats, and bees. They grow up immersed in the rhythms of daily farm life, developing the confidence and discernment needed to become dependable guardians. A century-old red barn anchors our land and our values: respectful stewardship, generational wisdom, and honest hard work. We raise our dogs for purpose, longevity, and stability, not just companionship.
