Hello. I am Melinda. I’m a mom of 3, a wife married for 19 years and most importantly a Christian. We bought our Shihpoo, Floppy in 2023 from someone who I felt wasn’t safe for him to stay with. I didn’t know anything about the breed at the time; I just wanted to get him out of a bad situation. We were delighted to find that he is a wonderful family dog! We were considering getting him a Shihpoo companion when I happened to come across a post about needing to rehome a beautiful Shihpoo female. That’s when we got Brownie! She has long, straight fur so we questioned her breed. We did verify her breed with a DNA test as everyone thought she was anything other than a Shihpoo. She is, in fact, 46% poodle! We were initially told she as “fixed.” We soon learned that she was not and we now have 7 adorably sweet Shihpoo puppies!
