We never imagined writing something like this, but we want to do what’s truly best for our sweet Archie. We’re a young married couple, both 23, originally from the UK and now living in Massachusetts. After doing long distance, we’re finally together, building our life and enjoying being newlyweds. One dream we always shared was having a dog, and when Archie came into our lives, it felt like everything we had hoped for. And truly, he is everything we dreamed of and more. Archie is 5 months old and an absolutely incredible puppy. He is smart, gentle, playful, and so full of love. He picked up potty training quickly, learns commands with ease, and gets along beautifully with everyone — other dogs, people, friends, and family. Everywhere he goes, people fall in love with him. He’s affectionate, kind, and has such a joyful spirit. He is also up to date on all his vaccinations. This is what makes this decision so hard. With our current schedules, working 10+ hours a day and living in an apartment, we’ve come to the painful realization that we’re not able to give Archie the time, attention, and life he truly deserves. He has been nothing but a blessing in our lives, and because we love him so much, we want to do right by him — even if it breaks our hearts. We are looking for a loving home where Archie will be cared for, given time, attention, and all the affection he deserves. We want someone who will truly see how special he is, and love him the way we do. He deserves the very best, because he has been nothing but the best to us.
