About Sue
About Us – Breezy Palms Puppies Dogs have always been part of my life. As a little girl, my family raised AKC West Highland White Terriers, and I grew up watching what it meant to raise puppies with care, structure, and purpose. Later, when I first got married, my husband and I raised AKC Golden Retrievers. That season gave me even more hands-on experience and deepened my love for breeding—not just having puppies, but doing it well. When our family grew and I had my three boys, I stepped away from breeding for a time. But I never stopped thinking about it. For four to five years, I studied, researched what breed I wanted to commit to long-term—the breed I would pour into and build a program around for years to come. That’s when I found the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. From the moment I brought home my first Cavalier, I knew—this was it. Their gentle, affectionate nature, their beauty, their ability to connect so deeply with people… I fell in love. And more than that, I saw the opportunity to do something meaningful with them. From the beginning, we were committed to doing this the right way. At Breezy Palms Puppies, our focus is built on three pillars: health, temperament, and beauty. That’s why we prioritize strong, well-established lines—including Champion pedigrees—in our breeding program. Even though most families are looking for a beloved pet, pedigree matters more than people realize. Champion lines are not about ribbons or status—they represent generations of intentional breeding. Dogs that meet a high standard not only in appearance, but in structure, movement, and temperament. That consistency matters. When you choose a puppy from thoughtfully bred lines, you’re far more likely to get: • A stable, predictable temperament • A dog that truly reflects the Cavalier’s sweet, gentle nature • Better structure and soundness • A reduced risk of careless or poorly planned breeding issues And just as importantly—a Cavalier that actually looks like a Cavalier should. Unfortunately, as popularity grows, so does careless breeding. Without strong lines and thoughtful selection, you begin to lose the very traits that make this breed so special. We are committed to preserving that. Our puppies are raised in a hands-on family environment, surrounded by children, daily life, and real interaction. They are loved, handled, and observed from the very beginning so we can help guide each family toward the best match—not just any puppy, but the right one. This isn’t just something we do—it’s something we’ve built over years of experience, intention, and love for the breed. Our goal is simple: To raise Cavaliers that are healthy, beautiful, and deeply connected—and to place them into homes where they will truly thrive.
