Hearthside Berners & Doodles grew from a simple love for dogs and the joy of family life. Our Bernese Mountain Dog, Scarlett, first joined our busy, pet-friendly home simply because we fell in love with the breed — their majestic pose , gentleness, loyalty, and calm presence fit our family in a way we hadn’t expected. The idea of raising puppies came much later, after seeing firsthand how special Bernese Mountain Dogs and Bernedoodles truly are. My daughter, Lily and I had long dreamed of raising puppies together, and in these breeds we found the perfect match for our hearts and our home. We decided to take the time and effort to continue a strong line of healthy, loving, pups. Our puppies are born and raised right here with us, surrounded by children, daily rhythms, loving touch, and the comforting sounds of family life. From their first days until they leave for their new families, they are known, handled, and cherished, so they grow into confident, affectionate companions ready to bring warmth and connection wherever they go. Puppies are raised in our home with love, early socialization, and a focus on health and temperament.
