My first Central Asian Shepherd Dog came from Russia 23 years ago, when I was living there. After discovering this incredible breed, I never wanted another breed. At the time, I had a 3-year-old child and was looking for a dog that would be loyal, trustworthy, and protective with children—and that is exactly what I found.
In my opinion, the Central Asian Shepherd is the ultimate guardian breed. They are intelligent, loyal, confident, and incredibly beautiful dogs. With our large property, they have also proven to be outstanding patrol and livestock guardian dogs.
To me, Central Asian Shepherds are the smartest, most loyal, and most special dogs in the world. Their devotion to their family and natural protective instincts make them unlike any other breed.
However, this breed is not for everyone. Central Asian Shepherds are serious guardian dogs first and foremost. They require experienced, responsible owners who understand their temperament and are committed to proper training, socialization, and lifelong care.
