Hi we're Sarah & Isaac and Bella ;) We live on a small farm in Crossville, TN and we can't wait to meet you! At Honey Hollow, our priority is our dog mama, Bella. We take care of her first and trust her natural intuition when it comes to how she cares for her puppies. We spend lots of time with her, talking to her and figuring out what she needs to be comfortable and to take excellent care of her babies. We live on a 4 acre farm in Crossville, TN. We are getting married in August 2026, we got our first dog Bella in 2024 and she has kept us on our toes ever since. We love taking walks together, (Bella's favorite spot is the pond that borders our property), grilling in the evenings (she really enjoys sharing the meal with us;) and relaxing in the living room. We are so blessed and we can't wait to meet you!

As newborns, our puppies sleep, eat, and play in our home, their whelping area is carpet, we have lots of windows in the whelping area. The area is climate controlled but on cooler days I will open the windows to keep it fresh and airy in the room. They are exposed to the sounds of a washing machine, different voices, cars, crate noises, doors opening & closing, sounds from the TV etc. As they grow older, we find it very important to expose them to different people/voices. I (Sarah) am their primary caretaker, so I will encourage guests in our home to interact with our puppies, talk & pet them etc., so they will be accustomed to people besides myself.
If the weather is nice, we spend lots of time with them outside. This helps them get accustomed to being in different areas, smelling different smells, and feeling different textures.
Encouraging independence in a puppy can be tricky because it depends on the puppyโs personality. A very outgoing puppy will have no problem playing independently, individual handling, or eating separately from the litter. We have found that it works best if we start when they are 3-4 weeks old. We will take the quieter puppies with us as we work around the house, we will talk to them, feed them separately from the litter, and get them accustomed to being away from their littermates. We wonโt see results right away, but as time progresses we typically will see them come out of their shells a bit more and start to gain their footing within the litter. We really start to implement this phase at around the 6 week mark. We start with crate introduction and car rides and typically this will be during their first trip to the vet for their wellness check.
Potty training is another crucial step in preparing them for your home. We introduce them to potty training at 2-3 weeks old. This may seem early but bernedoodles are very smart from the start. They do not like to potty where they sleep. Our system is to provide them a crated tray to potty on on one side of their area and on the other side we will provide a sleeping/play area. This system trains them to potty in a specific area which will make the transfer process into your new home much smoother for the puppy and for you!
