Hello,
The doggy parents of our adorable puppies are our beloved pets in their forever home. They are active, healthy, well cared for, and have a full life with us.
Our dogs go on fun weekend trips to Lake Havasu with us, and also enjoy daily outings.
They are all non shedding, and do not use crates or cages as part of their routines. They have access to the entire home and backyard and we have a doggy door which makes our life a lot easier!
Furbabies.
Remi - stud (my sisters dog), 25 pounds.
Dorothy - momma dog, 55 pounds.
Lilypad - momma dog, 45 pounds
(Cosmo and Dorothys daughter).
Lucy - furbaby, 55 pounds.
She is Cosmos sister from the same litter and was spayed and never had any litters.
Cosmo - stud, standard size.
Puppy life.
Our puppies are raised with their big extended, 4 adult dog family.
They are very well dog behavior socialized, understand they cant jump on adult dogs without asking to play first and respect a gentle "not now" answer from older dogs.
Puppiea stay in their whelping enclosure until 3 weeks old, and move on to a larger gated area from 3-4 weeks old.
At 4 weeks old, I begin doggy door training them to potty outside, and by 6 weeks old they are typically 100% housebroken with a doggy door in my home.
Puppies spend all of their time in the family room / kitchen area and open access to our puppy safe backyard with a doggy door.
The puppys havent spent any time in crates or cages bc I believe during the eaely weeks (4 -10) they need to spend all of their awake time playing, socializing, developing coordination, confidence, exploring and learning to live in a home as part of the family.
I work from home and when i have puppies, I am with them almost all the time because I am extremely devoted to my litters well being.
We are also very mindful of puppies sensitivities and our puppies do not have negative experiences like chasing, rough handling, isolation, scoldings.
We avoid any interactions that break a young puppys trust bc negative experiences during the early weeks can have enduring impacts on a puppy's behavior.
Everything we do with our puppies grows their trust.
Our puppies are very well adapted, and have a wonderful foundation for their adoptive familys to continue to build on.
They are sweet, loving, smart, confident and pkaful happy little cuddlebigs.
Shedding
With puppies being 75% poodle it is very likely they will be zero to very low shedding like their parents.
Momma dogs.
I do not over breed my momma dogs.
They have 1 litter per year and will retire with us in their forever home after their 3rd or 4th litter.
About me
I pour my heart into raising the best furbabies I can bc I love the hobby, but once my beloved momma dogs retire, this puppy hobby will have its sunset bc I will not be rehoming my momma dogs to adopt new momma dogs.
My profession is in healthcare, but I entered this wonderful puppy hobby to share with other people this amazing breed.
I truly believe the world will be a better place with more goldendoodles in it!
Nutrition
My momma dogs eat extra portions of cooked red meat daily while lactating and pregnant.
Kibble is not the staple of our dogs diet, it's offered more as a snack between their main diet of fresh cooked food.
The puppies only have mommas milk the 1st 3 weeks of life when they are very small and drink tiny portions of milk.
But from 3-4 weeks old puppies need the highest amount of milk, and this will overburden a momma dog of large litters, and cause puppies to not have a full meal at each feeding.
For this reason, at 3 weeks old I begin to supplement mommas milk with VCA recommended puppy formula after each nursing meal.
