Variety is the spice of life, and dogs are no exception. My family and I live on an 8 acre farm where we raise animals. All of our dogs have great temperaments, and are well socialized by our 3 children. I am a dog trainer professionally, and every year we train and donate a service dog to a veteran in need. We live on 8 acres that are fully devoted to our dogs. The property is entirely fenced and we own from one street in front to another street in back. Our kennel building is beautiful. It is a completely finished building that is fully insulated and climate controlled all year long. This is accomplished with a commercial a/c - heat system, heated tile floors in pens, and ceiling fans. There is both electric and plumbing in the building which supports our lights, climate control, sink, raised bath tub for dog washing and drying, and kitchenette. Each dog run as an indoor and outdoor area accessible 24 hours a day. They also have access to exercise areas that are an acre in size. There is a constant rotation of which dogs come into our house for the week to get personal attention. Not to mention all our dogs are well socialized by our 3 kids. All puppies are born in our kitchen. From there they are moved to the nursery, which used to be a small dining room just off the kitchen. That way we can keep a close eye on mom and puppies as they grow. Yes, on some level our dogs are business, but they are so much more than that....they are family.
