About Davida
We have had the pleasure of living in SC for 35 years. We have enjoyed the simplicity of a country setting for our home. It has taught us some wonderful lessons that has created lifelong memories. We got our first Shih tzu after my son's life changing accident. She was many blessings providing unmeasurable support and entertainment. She was an angel that walked with us. She enchanted people in parking lots and many fishing trips. I got her a playmate, a boy from NC, near Fort Bragg. Everyone new she chose her daddy and knew he wouldn't let go of her paws, she would go quietly in the night back home. We had several years of litters. People called for more of Chloe and Titan's babies, they were magical in stealing their new families heart. The years have passed, the land has changed and so did we. My first born was 16 in February 2026. Yes, I kept her. We grew in knowledge to have pups to wrap your arms around and steal your heart. Sometimes, it's the dog that makes days bearable. The unhappiness is licked away. The warm body that squirms in your arms turns that frown upside down. It is a blessing to know the pups and heartwarming to watch the moms nurture and teach. A simple blow of quick spurts corrects the puppy and is forever erased the behavior. Were was this technique when my kids were little? If you ever need a non-judgmental ear, talk to your dog. You will soon be laughing.
About Davida Onley
I am happy to introduce you to their home. Moms decide when they go in and out up to 4 weeks. I add some extra playtime as the pups need time to realize mom is not a total focal point. I introduce food at 3 to 4 weeks while mom is outside. They are being introduced to play toys. They are separated at 6 weeks, mom continues her watchful eye. The pups start learning simple commands and house noises and routines. They are monitored for weight gain and potential loss, with intervention. They will have wet dog food for a week, then stir in dry kibble with water to moisturize it. They will be introduced to people food, single items, as available at 7 weeks, also. They will have Moist and Meaty as a transition food to dry. They come into the house to experience sounds, smells, and cleaning routines. The pups stay inside due to prey birds until they are 3 to 4 months, too big to pickup, an example of lessons learned the wrong way. They are current on dewormings and immunizations until homed.
