I have a shihtzus cottage with all amenities as a small apartment attached to my rural home on 2 acres in Walker La. It has a space for all mommas and babies separated space for grooming. Dogs are placed in their own area that is not cages it separations or partitions the puppies have a indoor play area and an outdoor play area that is screened in they have a separate run that is also outside that's not screened in for good days that are not too hot and this also accompanies a covered play area and a grass area that is artificial grass actually the puppies are conveniently located near my home right within walking distance with a cover and often the puppies are inside when they are born in a whelping room and stay inside until they are a go to their new homes each and every month one of the puppies or the breeding dogs come and stay with me my two males are separate at times they come in and visit with us we want them to know that they're a pet but they're we don't treat them as just a breeding dog they have traveled with us when we have a vacation we've taken them to our second home in North Louisiana and we've loaded them all up and have a place for them is there as well they regularly see the vet they are always up to date on their vaccines and they're treated periodically and often for parasites and I have a contract with a licensed pest gentleman who treats my yard and my kennel was not harmful ways and I also treat my ground with diatomaceous earth so that there are no fleas all dogs have been doing this and staying in our cottage for several years and I've never had any viruses outbreaks of any kind they're always treated well maintained cleaned and well ventilated area I do allow people to come in and visit they enjoy seeing my setup and I've helped many others to set up as well I've learned a lot through this process and there's things that I will not do and things that I do do but I enjoy this and love this and I believe that my environment expresses how much I care and the system that I have in place
