Moms and puppies have their own designated nursery where moms can be with their babies in individual spaces for privacy for the first 2 weeks of being born . Moms have free access to come
and go as they please . I allow moms to nurse and stay with their puppies for as long as their comfortable being with them which is in some cases 8-9 weeks . During this time she plays and continues to nurture them but at this point she sleeps separate at bedtime . Once moms begin to tire of them she’s separated and the puppies have their room turned into an enrichment room and becomes their own little daycare center . Here they learn to play , share toys and learn socialization skills while also enjoying the sounds of their own TV . They enjoy this routine until they’re ready to leave which is 12-13 weeks of age depending on their size . No puppy leaves until they’ve reached 3 lbs .
