About Ginger
We raise Labrador Retrievers with a strong focus on health, temperament, and trainability. From their earliest days, our puppies receive Early Neurological Stimulation, gentle human handling, age appropriate socialization, and positive early training experiences. We believe learning starts long before a puppy goes home, so we introduce confidence building activities, household sights and sounds, basic manners, and the foundations for future obedience.
Our goal is to raise happy, confident Labradors that are eager to learn and ready to become wonderful family companions. We value the Labrador’s natural intelligence, loyalty, and willingness to work, and we encourage every new family to continue training throughout their puppy’s life.
Our puppies are placed as cherished companions and will go home with a strict spay/neuter agreement, with timing based on the puppy’s age, development, Labrador-specific considerations, and veterinary guidance. We care deeply about where our puppies go and look for families who value responsible ownership, continued training, proper veterinary care, and a lifetime of love. 🐾💛
About House of Ikana
We raise our Labrador Retrievers on a small hobby homestead of a couple acres, where each puppy is given an intentional, enriched start designed to support sound temperament, confidence, and trainability. From an early age, our puppies are thoughtfully exposed to a variety of everyday sights, sounds, and experiences, including supervised interaction with other animals such as goats, cats, chickens, ducks, and pigs. This helps foster adaptability, curiosity, and a calm, confident outlook.
We place strong emphasis on early development, including early neurological stimulation, human imprinting, age-appropriate enrichment, and the introduction of early kennel training to help build a smooth foundation for future routines and transitions. Puppies enjoy regular outdoor time, multiple daily walks, and hikes when weather permits, allowing them to explore and develop in a setting that encourages both structure and natural confidence.

Our Commitment to Health Testing
Responsible breeding begins long before puppies are born. Every breeding decision starts with the health, temperament, and overall quality of our dogs. Bruno and Azra were carefully selected not only because they represent the Labrador Retriever breed well, but because we are committed to making thoughtful, informed breeding decisions.
Health testing plays a vital role in preserving the future of the breed. By evaluating our breeding dogs for hereditary conditions commonly found in Labrador Retrievers, we can make responsible decisions that support healthier generations and give our puppies the best possible start in life.
Equally important is temperament. Bruno and Azra are confident, intelligent, affectionate dogs who genuinely enjoy being around people. Their willingness to learn, stable personalities, and natural Labrador dispositions are qualities we believe every family deserves in a lifelong companion.
We believe responsible breeding is about far more than producing beautiful puppies. It is about protecting the breed, prioritizing health, and raising dogs with the temperament and structure to thrive as beloved family members for years to come.
