Hi my name is Paulena!
Our puppies are all AKC and 100% genetically clear through parentage; using the dna health screening test through embark . All of our adult dogs have had their OFA testings done ( Hips, Elbows, Eyes, and hearts) with passing results.
Puppies will go home around 8-10weeks old.
They will come with a health check from a certified vet. Puppies are microchipped, dewormed, Bordatella, and Distemper/Parvo. Puppies will go home with 1st dose of heart worm prevention. Our puppies have a 2 year genetic guarantee.
We are partnered with trupanion and each puppy will receive a health insurance offer for 30 days of free coverage. Puppies will also have an additional 30 days of free health insurance after they are registered with AKC.
Puppies are raised using BAB/Puppy Culture. We complete early neurological stimulation and early scent introduction alongside sound stimulation. Pups are litter trained and have remained inside my home throughout their life with the chance of outside play on turf or in our yard. Crate conditioning is a big step in our puppies training.
Our puppies are raised in the middle of our busy home and handled by our children daily, giving them exceptional socialization and confidence.
At 7 weeks, puppies are put through a test called the Volhard temperament test. This helps us get a small glimpse into the puppies temperament.

About Sugar and Spice Homestead
We live in a small town called Sunman Indiana. We live on a small farm of barn cats, and chickens. We have 7 dogs. Yes it seems like a ton, but here's the thing. We rescued 4 dogs before we ever decided to breed, It wouldn't be right or fair to rehome them just because our plans changed. So yes, we have 4 rescues, & 2 female standard poodles and one upcoming standard poodle stud. All of our breeding females once they are retired, retire right here in our home. We have three beautiful children who love helping with the puppies. I am a stay-at-home mom, the puppies are never left alone, and someone is always home with them.
