Adopting a Puppy
Thank you for considering J- Bassets as you look to add a Basset baby to your family.
We currently have a litter from our AKC registered red and white Euro male (J- Red) and CKC tricolor American female (J- Winifred). Puppies will be CKC registerable 50% European bloodlines. Our puppies are raised with love and dedication to producing healthy, well socialized pups ready to join their forever homes. They will go home on track with their deworming, vaccine schedule and vet check. We want to ensure our babies go to the best homes possible. We want to know all about our potential families and the home they will provide for our puppies. We offer the majority our puppies with limited registration as pets only. Contact us for more information/ pictures of available Puppies. To reserve a puppy, we require a $400 nonrefundable deposit. This deposit will go towards the final payment. We accept PayPal (with 4% fee) or cash in person. If no puppies are available you can ask to be put on our waiting list free of charge. All puppies must be paid in full with arrangements to go home by 7weeks or we reserve the right to place the puppy with another family on the waiting list. We do not let our puppies leave until they are at least 8 weeks old with a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian. Pick up from our home is recommended. Shipping may be available for an extra fee.
Health Guarantee
J- Basset Hounds guarantees your puppy to be free of all communicable diseases for a period of five days from the date of transfer to you the buyer. We the breeder also guarantee the puppy to be free from life threatening congenital disorders up until six months of age. Any medical condition must be proven and documented by two licensed veterinarians. You the buyer agree to take your puppy to a licensed veterinarian for examination within one week from the date of transfer. Our guarantee is null and void if you do not follow agreement for vet exam. You the buyer must notify us (J- Basset Hounds) within 48 hours of any unsatisfactory findings on puppy’s veterinarian heath exam. J- Bassets will not accept any responsibility for injury during transportation or once received by you the buyer, reactions to vaccines/medications, flea/tick preparations or disorders caused by environmental factors, parasites/bacteria, allergies, thyroid or auto immune diseases. In the unlikely event of serious, life threatening illness within the first six months of your puppy’s life, we the breeder of are not responsible for medical bills but would consider replacing your puppy if the life threatening condition was genetic or congenital. If your puppy has a serious life threatening illness during the guaranteed time period, your puppy may eventually be replaced when another one becomes available, or a possible refund of the purchase price of your puppy (minus cost of shipping). Negotiation between you the buyer and J- Basset Hounds will determine the appropriate course of action.

Our puppies are born and raised here at our home on Whispering Willows ranch in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. They are raised with love and dedication to producing healthy, well socialized pups ready to join their forever homes. They will go home on track with their deworming, vaccine schedule and vet check.
