Our Philosophy: A Love Affair with the "Little People" Welcome! We are dedicated to the preservation and responsible promotion of the Brussels Griffon. My journey with this extraordinary breed began many years ago with a very special gift that changed my world forever. My first Griffon, Shishi, was a Christmas gift from my father. From the moment I looked into those large, soulful eyes, I was hooked. Shishi wasn't just a pet; she was my furry soul mate and my ultimate sidekick. She sparked a lifelong passion and taught me everything there is to love about this breed—their human-like intelligence, their comical "monkey-faced" expressions, and that quirky, self-important personality that brings so much laughter into a home. When I experienced the sudden loss of Shishi, the silence in my home was deafening. It was Shishi’s sister, Queen Elizabeth, who stepped in to help me through that dark time. While she could never replace her sister, she provided the unconditional love I needed to heal. Since then, Roxanne has come into my life, and she reminds me so much of my special Shishi that I feel I have that deep, soulful bond all over again. These dogs have taught me that while we may lose them, their spirit and love always find a way back to us. Today, nestled in the beautiful mountains of Lexington, Virginia, our home is filled with the joy of our extended "Brussels Crew." Our family includes the spirited Leaping Lena, Sir Tug A Lot, Sir Loki, Chip off the old Block, Princess Gianina (Nina), Princess Esmerelda (Esme), Miss Louisiana (Weezie), Miss Sassy Sheena, Princess Dahlia, our beautiful Bonnie Bell (nickname 💕Bella), and our one and only Katie Bug. While not all members of our crew are part of our breeding program, each and every one has a special place in our hearts as our cherished pets and companions; each brings their own unique magic to our lives. We also carry in our hearts the memory of our very special German Shepherd, King Kovad. He was a guardian and a friend who brought so much to this family, loving each and every member of our Griffon crew with a gentle soul. We lost him to cancer in September of 2025 at the age of 11, and he is greatly missed every single day. That realization is the heart of VNDRVIR’S Kerrs Creek Kennels. I never want to be without a Brussels Griffon in my home, and I want to help other families find that same life-changing companionship.
