At Bouchard's Best Shepherds we have been breeding Mini American shepherds since they were first recognized by the AKC about 16 years ago. We breed for solid bone structure, beautiful coat colors, sound minds, health and wonderful temperaments. We raise dogs we can trust with our own grandkids. We are also a recognized Preferred Breeder on GOODDOG.com as a VERIFIED breeder with all health testing done. We love this breed, and we breed to enhance this breed. Mini American shepherds are our passion and we have kept only the best quality dogs for our breeding program. Please come visit our home/kennel and farm in the beautiful town of Jonesborough, TN. The most adorable, oldest town in TN. There is always a celebration, festival, story telling and concerts going on here of some sort. Take in the sites of Olde Jonesborough when picking up your pet. Bouchard's Best Shepherds Originally started in Petersahm, Ma. we now reside on 11 acres of farm land completely fenced in the historic town of Jonesborough, TN. still have seasons but the winters are not as harsh as the winters in Massachusetts. Sadly before purchased the farm, the original farmhouse burnt down loves the land and town so much we decided to rebuild the olde farmhouse. The new build turned out beautiful and we put a lot of detail into keeping the look of an old farmhouse with all the modern conveniences. Some examples we added to enrich the look of an old Farmhouse is the back stair case, bead board ceilings, wooden pine painted stairs leading to the pine floors upstairs. moving the home from the bottom of the hill to a new location on top of the rolling hills and pastures was an improvement. With the relocation of the home we are able to enjoy the views of our entire farm from our windows. We have a complete panoramic view of the entire farm. We have plenty of fenced fields and dog areas. We also own one of the oldest barns in TN on our property and it is featured on the Trail Of Quilts. Not only do we have a beautiful kennel and home for our dogs to thrive in we have many fenced areas for all our animals including horses, ducks, chickens cows and goats. We have been transforming this old farm into our dream for retirement. We have plenty of fenced fields and dog areas. Giving them a safe place to run and build muscle. All of our fenced areas have HUGE Custom dog houses , that we refer to as Mutt Hutts.
We have them scattered all over the property in case we are not home and inclemate weather sets in. We added frost free water hydrants that we placed all over the property for watering. Our dogs have lots to watch on our farm keeping their minds keen and sharp. There are always, adults and kids coming and going for riding lessons and lots of activity to insure our dogs have sound minds.
At night our dogs sleep in their crates except, in the summer they prefer their fenced yards. We make sure to play ball with them, working their minds and bodies in our huge fields. They can jump and catch a ball flying through the air. We have a lot of fun playing and watching our dogs. We also Have an A+ rating with the BBB since 2008.
