I’m a small, home-based breeder who fell in love with the Shorkie Morkie mix because of everything these little dogs bring to a family. Their sweet temperament, affectionate personalities, tiny size, and generally low-shedding coats were exactly what I was looking for in a companion.
I’m not a professional breeder, and breeding dogs isn’t my profession or something I’m looking to turn into a business. I’m simply a dog lover who wanted to experience raising a litter in a loving home environment and, most importantly, give these puppies the same wonderful start I would want for my own pets.
This will be my last litter, and that makes finding the right homes especially important to me. These puppies aren’t simply “inventory” — I’ve been able to watch them grow, learn their individual personalities, and become part of our everyday family life. My goal is to place each puppy with a family who will love and care for them for many years to come.
One of the things I love most about this mix is their wonderful combination of traits. They tend to be affectionate, playful, devoted little companions while remaining small enough to fit comfortably into many different lifestyles. Their coats are also typically low-shedding, which was a major reason I was drawn to the breed. While no dog can be guaranteed to be completely hypoallergenic, Shorkie Morkie mixes may be a good option for families looking for a lower-shedding companion.
Because I’m a home breeder rather than a large-scale or professional operation, my puppies receive personal, hands-on attention. I know their personalities, see their daily progress, and care about where they ultimately end up. I’m happy to answer questions honestly and openly because finding the right match matters more to me than simply finding a buyer.

A Loving Home Environment
Our puppies are raised right here in our home, where they are surrounded by the sights, sounds, and routines of everyday family life. I believe that a puppy’s first weeks and months can have a lasting impact on their confidence and ability to adapt, so I make socialization and positive human interaction a big part of their daily routine.
The puppies stay together as a litter in a safe, clean, comfortable indoor puppy pen where they can sleep, eat, play, and interact with one another. Keeping the littermates together gives them valuable opportunities to learn appropriate puppy-to-puppy communication, boundaries, and social skills. They learn through one another — when to play, when to settle down, and how to interact appropriately with their siblings.
But their world isn’t limited to the pen.
Several times throughout the day, the puppies are brought outside for free-range play in our backyard, where they can safely explore, sniff, play, and experience different sights, sounds, textures, and surroundings. We take them outside approximately three times a day, giving them opportunities to burn off puppy energy and explore at their own pace before returning indoors to rest.
And perhaps most importantly, they get a tremendous amount of human interaction.
Beyond their time playing together, our family is constantly picking them up, holding them, cuddling them, talking to them, and interacting with them individually. They become accustomed to being handled and loved by different people, rather than simply being cared for from a distance. We want them to learn that human hands, voices, attention, and affection are all positive experiences.
There is a natural rhythm to their days: play, explore, socialize, cuddle, eat, nap, and repeat.
Because this is a home-raised litter rather than a commercial breeding operation, we are able to give them a great deal of personal attention. We get to know each puppy as an individual — their personalities, energy levels, quirks, and preferences — rather than viewing them simply as a group.
My hope is that when these puppies leave us, they will take with them more than just a good start physically. I want them to leave having experienced plenty of affection, gentle handling, puppy companionship, outdoor exploration, and the everyday sounds and experiences of a loving home.
They are being raised as family pets from the very beginning, and I’m looking for families who will continue that same level of love, attention, and commitment throughout their lives.
