About Megan
Hello! My name is Megan! Myself and my very understanding and supporting husband, Billy, are the heart and soul of Aloe Aussies. Our philosophy is simple: we aren’t just breeding Australian Shepherds, we are raising someone’s future family member.
We have both been an animal lovers our entire lives, growing up with, raising, and breeding many species since childhood.
Our history with dogs is a bit of a mosaic. My husband, Billy, grew up on a cattle ranch in Wilton surrounded by working Border Collies and Corgis, though he later found a soft spot for the total opposite side of the spectrum, bully breeds. I grew up with Dobermans and breeding Chihuahuas, and for a long time, I was convinced that Huskies and Great Danes were my soul dogs.
While we loved every one of those breeds, something was always just a little bit off. However, looking back, they were the perfect stepping stones to our current mission. The unique challenges of a stubborn Husky, the unfaltering love of a bully, and rewards of those years provided us with invaluable expertise from our time with them. Knowledge in training, canine psychology, and traits that we still use with all of our dogs today.
It didn't take long to realize that Aussies weren't just the right fit for us—they were a breed we wanted to share with the world. What started as a personal quest for the perfect companion evolved into a mission to raise that same "once-in-a-lifetime" dog for other families.
That’s how Aloe Aussies was born.
About ALOE Aussies
All of our puppies are born inside our home in our dedicated puppy nursery, where they are monitored (24/7 camera and someone always home) from the moment they arrive. From day one, each puppy is handled and gently introduced to human touch through consistent daily interaction for early desensitization. This hands-on care helps build trust, confidence, and stability. They play with tons of different toys, get groomed, try new foods, meet different types of animals and people of all ages. Hear lots of new noises, see new things, experience new situations to get them prepared for life outside our home.
We do typically dock our puppies tails. If this is something you do not want done, we allow anyone who reserves a puppy within the first 5 days of them being born to request a non-docked tail if they would prefer a natural tail. Our puppies always have their dewclaws removed, are dewormed, have their first set of shots, and are microchipped when they go to their new homes. We also send home a complimentary Puppy Pack with the food they are eating, potty pads, a collar, leash, health record and a blanket that smells like their mom/siblings.
If you can no longer keep one of our puppies, we will always take them back with open arms ANY time for any reason. We understand some things are out of your control or sometimes things just don't work out. We are all only human, and things happen. Aloe Aussies has a no-refund policy on deposits or for puppies being returned.
