About Joshua
Hello! We are Josh and Amber Halversen, a family-based breeder located in Southern Arizona (Thatcher). We specialize in raising Cavapoo and Shih-Poo puppies with a strong focus on health, temperament, and early socialization. Our puppies are raised inside our home as part of our family from the very beginning. We begin Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) training when they are just a few days old, and our parent dogs are genetically health tested through Embark. One thing that is very important to us is being a completely zero-pressure breeder. If you would like to FaceTime or Zoom to meet one of our puppies, we are always happy to answer questions, show you the puppies, and learn more about your family—but we will never pressure anyone into making a decision. We truly believe the best forever homes happen naturally, when both the puppy and the family feel like the right fit. Why families choose us: • Our puppies are born and raised in our living room, never in outdoor kennels. • They are handled and loved daily with plenty of cuddles, interaction, and attention. • Our puppies are exposed to normal household sights and sounds from the start, including vacuums, kitchen noises, doors closing, children, music, and everyday activity. This helps them become confident and well-adjusted companions. • We carefully select breeding dogs based on temperament, personality, and overall quality—not just appearance. • We stay in touch with many of our puppy families and love receiving updates as the puppies grow. • We frequently receive messages from families sharing how sweet, affectionate, and well-adjusted their puppies are. • We require a spay/neuter agreement and include a clause in our contract stating that if a family is ever unable to keep one of our puppies, the dog must be returned to us. We never want our dogs to end up in shelters or uncertain situations. Our dogs are truly part of our family and daily life. We believe the love, socialization, and interaction puppies receive early on make a tremendous difference in the companions they become. Because of this, we are committed to raising happy, healthy puppies with exceptional temperaments that families will cherish for years to come. We also love getting to know our prospective families and are always happy to connect in person, over the phone, or through FaceTime so you can meet your puppy and feel comfortable throughout the process. For daily updates and videos of our current puppies, follow us on Instagram at @azlegacygoldens. We post most frequently to our stories and love sharing our puppies as they grow!
About AZ Legacy Goldens
Our puppies are raised right inside our home in Thatcher, Arizona, where they are part of our everyday family life from the moment they are born. They are not raised in outdoor kennels or separate facilities—instead, they spend their days surrounded by normal household activity, love, and constant interaction. From an early age, our puppies are exposed to everyday sights and sounds such as music, vacuum cleaners, kitchen noises, children, visitors, and other pets. This early socialization helps them grow into confident, affectionate, and well-adjusted companions. We keep our puppy areas clean, safe, and comfortable, with plenty of space to play, explore, rest, and interact. As they grow, they receive daily handling, cuddles, enrichment, and age-appropriate experiences to help them transition smoothly into their forever homes. Our dogs are truly members of our family, and we believe that raising puppies in a loving home environment makes a tremendous difference in their temperament and development.
